Craig, Patty’s got several valid points. May I add that Harris’ many assertions that she plans to fight for and earn the Party’s nomination don’t ring authentic. She’s done neither. She has been anointed, again. Such is how she’s gotten her other promotions. You should read how the CA Democratic Party foisted her on CA voters in two of her statewide “races to primary victories”. Of course winning a general election after the primary is de rigueur for liberals in that state, and add nothing to the “luster” of “earning” her elections.

I’m not sure what, if anything, she added to President Biden’s election in 2020. He already had an enthusiastic support of Black women. California was sure to go blue.

In short, this fall will be her first genuine test without a net. It will be interesting to watch.

You insult the intelligence of your readers. Her discipline and loyalty were part of the big lie that was foisted on us and she gets to go to the head of the class. The “urgency” of getting it all settled certainly worked in her favor – now it looks more like an anointment rather than a nomination and no one questions how millions of votes became null and void. It’s all fun and games and historic until she has to run on something and what will that be? Bidenomics, failed foreign policy and an invasion at the southern border weren’t helping Biden – do they really think she can sell it better? Once the dust settles, the rot will rise.
