Thanks for reminding us where that $3 billion deficit came from. Budgets are shared, non-partisan pain–never easy for either party. This legislature is dealing with the reality of the present so our future doesn’t get bogged down. A tax of one-quarter-of-one-percent on those who can afford it is a fair solution.

Thank you for pointing out a fact that so many are willing to ignore: this deficit was foretold during Hogan’s tenure. It is good to see the reason for our “surplus” stated clearly, for all to consider. Hats off to the legislators who did the hard work to get a budget passed.
