I notified our local police department that I would do the same if ICE or the FBI came to Chestertown and confronted me. In that case the police would have to choose whether to arrest me or the Federales. If they choose to arrest me, as I would hope, I could expect a due process hearing.

By the way, nearly all of my ancestors came here as illegal immigrants, beginning in 1650.
