As an undecided conservative who hopelessly harbored Nikki Haley sympathies (like Craig), I had difficulty taking Kennedy’s race seriously or his causes just — until possibly now. Could he be the open-minded type we need as a president? I never expected a Bostonian/Kennedy to publicly reveal how deeply saddened he was during the social justice crowds’ destruction/removals of southern and Confederate memorials and statues following the George Floyd murder.

Why, I ask you three? Why would RFK reveal his sympathy to a currently unfashionable constituency that suffers at the hands of fashionable social justice violence and near mindless hatred against our region? I attended a Washington College-ALL class last year in which a revisionist instructor provided “reform” ammunition to students who claim they “don’t hate” anyone, but proved that hatred with every snide observation and question they espoused in those classes.

I honestly don’t know why Kennedy did so. But his comment was a head turner and a shock. I would speculate that it’s the first policy-type statement Kennedy has made that garners the attention and agreement of undecided conservative voters across the nation. And not just in the South. We could very well determine the winner in those swing states. Has he tired of appealing to any more liberal votes from a political group that has has a death-grip embrace on Joe Biden?

If this is a valid question of you, please speculate what’s up with this remarkable RFK development? Why did he make the statement public? Was it a honest, true sentiment or a calculated political tactic? For those of us who voted Obama, Obama, Clinton (most reluctantly), and Biden in the past, it was came as refreshing mana in a desert of disappointments.
