Letter to the Editor: Who Did It?

May 19, 2024 by Letter to Editor 3 Comments

Throughout history, we search for answers, understanding, and perhaps truth.

We even had games which searched for truth.  Remember Clue, the board game from the late 1940’s?  Who did it, where was it done, and how was it done? Was it Colonel Mustard, Professor Plum or Mrs. Peacock; did it happen in the kitchen; did they use a candlestick?  The purpose of this board game was to work together and focus on searching for the truth by asking questions and following the clues. You won the game by discovering and telling the truth. The truth-teller won!

Sadly, standing up and accepting responsibility does not seem to be a valued trait.

Did the wife of a Supreme Court justice fly the flag upside down at their home?

Did the Senator’s wife keep him in the dark on financial matters, like bribery?

Did a Representative not know campaign money was being diverted for personal use- because his wife manages personal and campaign finances?

Who did it? Why, she did.

Oh, please, give me a break.

Did a President instruct his fixer to buy off his porn playmate? And his accountant to record it as “legal fees” in 12 monthly installments?

Mr. Whitman, was the person accused of paying-off a “playmate” the president of the United States at the time of this alleged conduct? It does matter.

    ANOTHER WHO DID IT !

There I was, sitting in traffic in front of the court house in Chestertown, Maryland……wondering….Why am i sitting in traffic in Chestertown, Maryland ? Cars were stopped in front of me. None moved. What ? Then the light changed and all moved. Then I saw it………
Someone put a not turn on red sign on the corner. ……YIKES !
The whole point of the right on red rule was to end the traffic sitting and waiting for lights to change.
So who did it ? Can they be voted out of their clip board job or can someone just cut it down ? Chestertown, the town who stuck it to a king and threw tea in the river…..the town that eliminated their parking meters should be able to trim this sign.
    WHO DIT IT ?
