In reading your article I can understand some of the concern. But if Chestertown is to grow, we will need additional resources to manage the electrical grid. So why not have our own solar generation to help feed the system. This requires a balance of neighborhood growth and an energy source. In order to get town revenue Chestertown will need to build more housing and additional shopping areas. With this comes the need for extra resources. If there is a better way to expand and ensure the electric grid is available to the Chestertown folks, then present it to the Committee.

All the agriculture is nothing but big Ag and roundup. Not impressive, not what one needs to live next to. I know, we live around it.
Yet,I get it. Who wants plastic houses on flat land and/or solar panels. Yet, solar provides a service that plastic
suburbs do not. At least ascetically.
. Perhaps the “land planning” on this Shore has become a joke? Is this what the mid Atlantic is destined for?

unfortunately you failed to mention that around 2007 Eastern Shore Land Conservancy backed out and allowed the plan to fail.
