The test of Republican backbone and McConnell will play out when the vote for/against Hegseth is taken. If he stands up for sanity there is hope along with Collins and Murkowski. If he falls back on his shady reasoning for why he would vote to seat this unqualified candidate then I fear for certainly the next two years and probably four.
