It wasn’t so much that Democrats voted for Trump in 2024 as that they didn’t vote. The Democrats & Biden’s team totally misplayed the 2024 nomination process, and hid the fact that President Biden wasn’t “up to” another term. Shame on us!!!

No doubt about it that the Federal agencies should regularly be reviewed and vetted as to whether we’re spending our tax dollars wisely. This should be a Congressionally driven process in coordination with the Executive Branch. But I agree with Deidre, the Trump Administration is way way out of bounds, and the Constitution, with what it’s doing – and really is serving the interest of the wealthy. He’s convinced the his MAGA followers that the government is the problem.

There does need to be a national approach to opposing Trump and Musk. And a local approach to unseat Andy Harris. Why are we not seeing these actions from the Democratic Party?

People being laid off, research halted, the stock market crashing, measles outbreaks, First Amendment rights trampled, and unfathomable corruption taking place. So much winning! For Billionaires and Putin!
Thanks to all who sat this one out or voted for the destruction of our government, our allies, and civility.
Destroying the economy at the same time as the government is dismantled is an
OBVIOUS recipe to end the United States that we have known and loved. And sadly, there is no plan to rebuild our government after DOGE has finished it. The only victory here is Putin’s. He must be elated. He defeated the United States without a single battle. Trump has done it for him.

Oh, you want to talk of “squandered dollars”? Elon Musk’s companies, Tesla and SpaceX, have received at least $38 billion in government contracts, loans, subsidies, and tax credits over the past 20 years.
But he needs more to be a trillionaire, so gutting SS, Medicare and Medicaid will be ripe for his takeover.

Curious that the House Republicans are getting such angry pushback from their districts that they’ve been told not to hold town halls. Harris has been on this track forever. Wanker.

Trump in sufficient numbers that Mr. Trump was elected President of the United States. Mr. Trump’s priorities were directly aligned against what Democrats were then, and have traditionally supported — more taxes to support more spending for any issue that arose.

Mr. Trump, in securing the assistance of Mr. Musk, has set a course to eliminate the spending of taxpayer dollars that do not deliver measurable and pertinent positive results for citizens of the U.S. Not everyone is happy with the progress being made in that vein, nor was everyone pleased with how many dollars were being squandered.

Now would be a wonderful time for Democrats to end their defense of wild spending and get on board with the ending of such programs which cost exorbitant taxpayer dollars Without delivering commensurate results.

It is pathetic. Instead go online and find rallies: at town halls, in cities (April 5 at noon
at the National Monument, 15th St and in Baltimore as well),sent post cards and emails. Just keep at it. Do not wait for others, however I understand huge protests are planned. As Poland did, a certain percentage of a nation needs to protest. In the
US that is 12.5 million across our nation on a given day.
I look forward to that. We can do it!
As has been said, Trump has only two constituents: Putin and Musk.
